No Bake Cookies
Submitted by Kayla LaFord

This is a super easy recipe to complete! This is something my mother taught me at a young age. It is originally from my grandma who was very important to me. It is chocolatey peanut oatmeal goodness! You don’t need much time or many ingredients, it’s very likely you already have most of them on hand. The reason it is no baked is because it doesn’t get put into the oven at all!
Time to Prep and Cook
- 5 minutes of prep, about 10 minutes to cook
Ingredients:
- 2T Cocoa
- 2C Sugar
- ½C Evaporated Milk
- 1 Stick of Butter
- 2 ½C Oatmeal
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- ½C Peanut Butter
Optional
- Substitute milk with other milk lactose free versions
- More or less peanut butter
- Crunchy peanut butter
- More or less cocoa
- As long as the consistancy is maintained it should work out!
Instructions:
- Get a pot and put it on a burner.
- Combine cocoa, sugar, evaporated milk and margarine together in a pot on the stove
- Heat and stir ingredients until they blend together and it starts to boil.
- Boil the liquid for a minute.
- Take off the heat.
- Add in the oatmeal, vanilla and peanut butter; stir until combined.
- Once combined, spoon onto wax paper equal small balls.
- Leave it to cool and firm! Enjoy!
